Fans, chairs, rugs, blankets, and small extras that make a regular campsite more comfortable.
Glampabouting is our version of DIY glamping: reusable comfort gear you take from campground to campground. A fan, a real chair, a rug underfoot, and a warm blanket make a regular tent site comfortable, with no RV to maintain and store, and for less than a few nights at a furnished glampsite.
We carry a rechargeable fan and use it inside the tent for airflow on warm days and nights.
We are not backpacking. An oversized, padded chair with a footrest is worth the room in the car when we are spending hours around camp.
An outdoor rug keeps chairs and feet off dirt or gravel, gives the campsite a sitting area, and helps keep some of the mess outside the tent.
A separate camp blanket keeps cool evenings outside comfortable without pulling the sleeping bag off the bed.
These are the main comfort items in our Glampabout setup.
We use it for airflow inside the tent. Five speeds, a remote control, a built-in LED light, and a carry handle.

Two fold-out light panels for the tent or the campsite, a flashlight on the end, and a loop to hang it. Rechargeable.
View the Camping Light on GeerTop →We like a rechargeable fan because it can move around the tent without another extension cord. The hanging hook also lets us get the fan up off the floor.

A compact backpacking chair makes sense when every pound matters. That is not how we camp. We would rather carry an oversized, padded chair with a footrest, a cup holder, and a side pocket.
Put the rug down before the chairs and table come out, and the sitting area is set. Shake it out before rolling it up, or the dirt rides home with you.
